Fox Wilmington is the Cape Fear region's fastest growing television station. The station signed on in 1984 in Wilmington as WJKA, a CBS affiliate. In 1994, WJKA became a FOX affiliate and is recognized as one of the dominant small-market FOX affiliates in the nation.
