District Attorney Jon David
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – District Attorney Jon David and Judge Jerry Jolly have come to an agreement to reinstate traffic court, according to David.
"Together we were able to come to a consensus regarding the best way to reintegrate this worthy program back into our criminal justice system," said David in a press release.
Earlier this year, Jolly issued an administrative order that stopped a proposed traffic program in Brunswick County, because the operator of the non-profit program contributed to David's campaign.
David had sent a letter to Jolly challenging the claims in the order and eventually filed a petition in the NC Court of Appeals in hopes of reinstating traffic court in his district.
