CHAT at 6:30: NHC Commissioner Brian Berger arrested again

WILMINGTON, NC (WSFX) - We're following the biggest local and national stories going on today, as well as some of the biggest talkers.

One of the stories that cannot be ignored today is the arrest of New Hanover County commissioner Brian Berger. Berger was arrested for not showing up for court on a protection order violation. Berger is supposed to get a mental health evaluation to see if he is competent to continue his work.

We're also taking a closer look at the governor's race as it remains wide open. This comes one day after Governor Bev Perdue announced she will not seek re-election.
