WSFX - FOX Wilmington, NCJury selection underway for 2008 murder case

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Jury selection was scheduled to begin Monday in Brunswick County for the murder case of James Murdock.

Matthew Baber faces first degree murder charges for Murdock's death in 2008.

According to investigators, 20-30 shots were fired at the car Murdock was sitting in on Pineclair Drive in Calabash. Murdock died from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Norman Simmons was also arrested for the murder.
