WILMINGTON, NC (WSFX) – Encore Magazine gives us the best things to do this weekend. There's no shortage of things to do with St. Patrick's Day falling on the weekend.
The St. Patrick's Day parade starts Saturday at 11:00am on North Front Street in downtown Wilmington.
At noon, there will be a festival at Riverfront Park with live music and Irish dancing. Many of the bars and restaurants in downtown Wilmington will also offer beer specials and traditional Irish food.
The Steve Haydu Lo Tide Run takes place Saturday at Carolina Beach. It raises money for cancer patients. Hundreds of people are expected to participate.
Linda Lavin will perform at Kenan Auditorium on the UNCW campus Saturday with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra. She'll perform songs from her new album "Possibilities."
A pop-up studio opens at 405 South Third Street in Wilmington at 7p.m. and will remain open through March 22nd. It will feature artwork from 30 different local artists, and you will be able to buy the items.
