WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Filming continued for Safe Haven in Wilmington on Monday.
A crew was shooting a scene for the movie, which is based on New Bern author Nicholas Sparks' book, on Front Street.
Safe Haven stars Josh Duhamel, from Transformers, and Julianne Hough, of Footloose. Part of the movie will be shot in Wilmington and Southport.
The Nicholas Sparks Foundation is hosting a contest to raise money for the Hope for the Warriors and The Epiphany School. Anyone who donates $10 by June 30 will be entered to win a visit to the set of Safe Haven and meet Duhamel and Hough.
