WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – You probably realize consignment shops are a great way to buy kids clothing, but knowing when to go can save you even more. 

Consignment sales typically are hot in the months of March and in August, but Jenny Martin from Southernsavers.com says once they start, you need to keep that calendar clear. 

"Once they start, you almost want to go every weekend," said Martin.  "Even if you're buying a season ahead." 

And don't forget, you can get other things at consignment stores, too, like kids toys.
