WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – At the risk of having you think it's a broken record forecast we will indeed see showers and embedded thunderstorms again for the fourth day in a row. But the details of the forecast get better after today as drier air moves in to the region in the wake of this slow moving front. Our high temperatures will be warm again today and even warmer on Friday and Saturday as sunny skies will help push temperatures into the mid 80s for the first half of the weekend.
A much more seasonable cold front moves in Sunday bringing shower and thunderstorm chances but most importantly some significantly cooler temperatures. Highs will plummet into the low 70s and overnight lows will drop to the low 50s and upper 40s across the region for the first half of the work week.
