WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – An 11-year-old student is hoping her voice will help in the efforts to stop bullying.

Jolie Montlick goes to Cape Fear Academy and loves to sing and play the guitar. When she learned her idol Taylor Swift was bullied, she was inspired to stand up against bullying.

Montlick was the center of a professional music video about bullying and choosing to the "right thing."

"You're never too young to make a difference," is the motto Montlick wants to live by and teach to others.

Cape Fear Academy will roll out the debut of the video Thursday afternoon for the younger students to see. Montlick will also talk to the kids about her message and making a difference.
