COLUMBIA, MO (KCTV) -

Three freshman football players with the University of Missouri, including a top recruit, have been arrested on drug charges.

Those three players have been suspended for Saturday's game and face other disciplinary action, according to a spokesman for the university. In addition, two players with them also won't play against Vanderbilt.

Freshman receivers Dorial Green-Beckham and Levi Copelin and freshman linebacker Torey Boozer reportedly were found in a white Lincoln Navigator parked in a lot south of Memorial Stadium in possession of marijuana.

Green-Beckham was considered the nation's No. 1 recruit out of high school a year ago.

Police took the players into custody about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana, reports said.

Two other players were in the SUV, but it was determined they had nothing to do with the marijuana. Authorities released those two without any charges.

Missouri Athletics spokesman Chad Moller identified those two players as freshman defensive lineman Harold Brantley and freshman tight end Brandon Holfield.

"We're aware of the incident and have addressed it. All individuals involved have been immediately suspended from the program for one game," Moller said in a written statement. "All other disciplinary measures will be handled internally."

MU Police Department spokesman Brian Weimer told The Maneater that all three of the players were taken to the police department for processing and released on signature summons.
