Posted: Updated:

The Albany State football team has put some life back into its season with back to back conference wins after starting the year with a 1-3 record

Running back Nathan Hoyte is the SIAC conference player of the week after another breakout performance in ASU's win over Lane this weekend.

The Rams will need another big performance on Saturday at east division rival Morehouse who is right behind ASU in the conference standings in 3rd place. The Maroon Tigers were the preseason pick to win the SIAC East and has the league's leading passer in quarterback David Thomas. It's a crucial conference game for both teams.

Head coach Mike White said "Its always a big contest every time we go to Atlanta. Its going to be a tough game, close game in the 4th quarter. You're going to have to make some plays. I think for us its penalties and turnovers. We can't make those and I think we does the best job gets the advantage on Saturday."

It will be a 7 o'clock kickoff in Atlanta on Saturday.
