Fort Bragg soldier charged with rape - WSFX - FOX Wilmington, NC

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A Fort Bragg soldier is facing rape charges of a 22-year-old woman.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, Donald William Bleyl, 37, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

An investigation revealed Bleyl engaged in sexual activity with a woman who was physically and mentally unable to resist or consent to the act, or communicate an unwillingness to submit. The sheriff's office said the woman was extremely intoxicated during the encounter.

According to detectives, the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be forthcoming.
