Michelle's Markdowns: 89-percent savings at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Rite Aid

WILMINGTON, NC (WSFX) – We found some great deals for 50-cents or less on things like grape juice, hair products and stuff to make yummy Halloween treats. 

In all, we spent $16 on $138 worth of goods (at the three stores):

Harris Teeter:

Harris Teeter is also running spooky savings deals that give you cash back at the register for buying certain things.  Thanks to Cilla Saving in Wilmington for that great tip!  All you have to do is buy a certain amount of things, and you get money back.  When you use coupons on top of that, you save even more.

**Harris Teeter total:  In all, we spent about $6 (including tax) for $34 worth of items.

--Welch's grape juice, reg. 3.99.  On sale BOGO.  Paid 50-cents.  There's a coupon for 75-cents off that doubles.  RP 9/30.

--Danimals yogurt, reg. 3.00.  On sale 2.00.   Paid 50-cents for a six-pack.  We had a 75-cent printable coupon

--Yoplait yogurt, reg. 70-cents.  On sale 50-cents.  Paid .  We used a coupon for 40-cents off 6.  [3.00 -.80 = 2.20 / 6 = 37-cents]  SS 9/9.

--LA Looks Hair Styling Gel, reg. 2.99.  On sale 1.49.  We paid 49-cents.  We used a coupon for $1 off from RP 10/7.

--Gwaltney Bologna, reg. 97.  We paid .07.  We had a coupon for .45 from SS 9/30.

--Gwaltney Meat Franks, reg. 77-cents.  FREE.  We had a coupon for .45 from SS 9/30.

--Betty Crocker boxed potatoes, reg. 1.69.   We paid .32 each when we bought 4 and used 2 coupons for .50 off 2.  The store is also running a Spooky Savings – and takes off $3 at the register when you buy 3.  Coupons from General Mills insert 10/7.  And coupons.com.

--Betty Crocker premium brownie mix, reg. 2.69.  On sale 1.44.  We paid 69-cents for each box when we bought 4 and used 2 coupons.  The store is running a Spooky Savings and takes off $5 at the register when you buy 4.  You can also use 2 coupons for 75-cents off two.  Those coupons came from the General Mills insert from 10/7.

Lowes Foods, Leland (triple coupons everyday – no word on when promotion will end.)

**Lowes Foods total:  In all, we spent $9.99 (including tax) on $51 worth of goods.


--Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough, reg. 2.99.  We paid .64.  Coupons:   .75/1 RP 10/07 and .75/1 SS 8/12

--Butterball sliced turkey bacon, reg. 2.00.  We paid 35-cents.  Coupons:  .55 RP 9/09

--Bisquick, reg. 2.55.  On sale, 1.79.  We paid .29.  We used a printable 50-cent coupon that tripled.  Coupons.com

--Dixie Crystals sugar, reg. 1.35.  FREE.  We used a .55 coupon from SS 10/07.

--Healthy Choice BAKED frozen meal, reg. 2.79.  On sale 2.00.  FREE.  We used a printable coupon.

Rite Aid:

Sanah Sayani is our expert on Rite Aid.  There are so many deals going on that it's hard to keep up.  But, at the end of the day we got $60 worth of nail polish and products for nothing.  Thanks to the Krazy Coupon Lady for these deals:

--Moneymaker on Glow in the dark nail polish (no coupons necessary)
