KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) – Exercise your "license to chill" this weekend during the annual Pleasure Island Seafood, Blues and Jazz Festival.
Music from several blues and jazz artists will fill the Fort Fisher Military Recreational area Saturday and Sunday starting at 12:30 p.m.
Gregg Allman will take the stage Saturday night at 8:00.
According to the event's Facebook page, tickets are now only available online at Eventbrite. They say "Sell-out is imminent, but just in case, we have extended the on-line sales to 2:00 p.m. on Friday."
If there are still tickets left after 2:00 p.m., they will be available at the gate for $50 on Saturday and $15 on Sunday.
Since the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will be closed this weekend, four extra ferry departures will run the Southport-Fort Fisher route.
The schedule will be as follows:
• Departing Southport at: 5:30 a.m., 7, 7:45, 8:30, 9:15, 10, 10:45, 11:30, 12:15 p.m., 1, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4, 4:45 and 6:15 p.m.; and
• Departing Fort Fisher at: 6:15 a.m., 7:45, 8:30, 9:15, 10, 10:45, 11:30, 12:15 p.m., 1, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, 4, 4:45, 5:30 and 7 p.m.
