The Darton women's basketball team is getting ready to open their season in just under three weeks.
The Lady Cavaliers starting what head coach Lea Henry wants to be an annual event with the Tri States JUCO Jamboree this weekend.
14 women's junior college basketball teams played three games on the day against each other.
Watching were coaches from 30 four-year schools.
Lea Henry signed six of her sophomores last year's team to four year schools.
One of those players signed with a Division I school.
The coach believes this event will help future Lady Cavaliers achieve their goal of playing basketball at a four year school.
"For all of us to get the chance to play against outside competition. We have been practicing against each other for a month. Also as you mentioned the exposure for our players. It is a great time for the college coaches to see them play several games under one roof", said Lea Henry."
Darton women will open their season on November 2nd against West Georgia Tech.
