Albany State stays in the SIAC east division hunt with a 16-13 win over Morehouse Saturday night at B.T. Harvey Stadium in Atlanta.
The Maroon Tigers scored first on a touchdown run by Lance Bennett.
Albany State blocked the extra point and returned it for the safety to make the Morehouse lead 6-2.
The Golden Rams then drove the football down the field with Nathan Hoyte scoring the lone offensive touchdown of the game to put ASU up 9-6.
Dexter Moody returned a Morehouse interception for the only Golden Rams points of the second half early in the 3rd quarter.
Morehouse scored a touchdown in the 4th but the Rams hold on for the 16-13 victory.
They are now 4-3 and 3-1 in the SIAC.
Albany State will host Clark for homecoming at 2:00 p.m. next Saturday.
