Region 1 eliminated from Elite 8 - WSFX - FOX Wilmington, NC

It was a great ride but the season is over for three area teams at the GHSA Class A Public state softball finals.

Schley County eliminated Baconton 17-7 Friday morning in Columbus and the Lady Wildcats knocked Miller County out of the tournament with a 10-9 in the afternoon.

Seminole County beat Telfair 6-3 in an elimination game but the Lady Indians were knocked out by Gordon Lee 8-0.

Gordon Lee will play Schley County later Friday.

The winner of the game will play the loser of the GMC-Mt. Zion Carrollton game for a berth in Saturday's state championship game.
