County settles with former Director of Animal Control Services - WSFX - FOX Wilmington, NC

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - New Hanover County government settled a lawsuit with Jean McNeil, the former Director of Animal Control Services.

The amount is $120,000, according to the agenda for the county commissioner's December 17 meeting. New Hanover County pays a $25,000 deductible.

McNeil was fired in January 2012 following a meeting with the Director of the Health Department.

The settlement is dated December 4, 2012.
