Candlelight vigil to take place for Alma Lawson, missing woman

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A candlelight vigil will be held Saturday in honor of a missing elderly woman.

Alma Lawson, 83, went missing Nov. 4. She was last seen leaving a friend's home in the Love Grove community.

The vigil, which will be held at 5:15 p.m. at St. Phillips AME Church, is being hosted by the CUE Center for Missing Persons, and is meant to serve as a reminder that Lawson is still missing, a CUE Center spokesperson confirmed in a news release.
