RALEIGH, N.C. (WECT) –  Governor-Elect Pat McCrory filled the remaining seats of his Cabinet, announcing the remaining four appointees at a news conference Thursday morning.

McCrory selected Tony Tata as Secretary of the Department of Transportation. A release from the McCrory transition office says Tata is a former Army Brigadier General who served as the Deputy Commanding General of U.S. forces in Afghanistan from 2006-2007. He recently led the Wake County school system, before being fired in September.

Sharon Decker will be McCrory's Secretary of the Department of Commerce.  Decker worked for Duke Power Company (now Duke Energy) and became the first female Vice-President in the company's history.

Bill Daughtridge is appointed Secretary of the Department of Administration.  He is President of Daughtridge Gas & Oil Company in Rocky Mount, and former state legislator from 2002-2008 where he served as chairman of the House Commerce Committee.

McCrory also announced that Neal Alexander will serve as Director of the State Office of Personnel. Alexander has 40 years of experience in Human Resources positions at Duke Energy, most recently as Vice President for Human Resources.

"I am incredibly proud of the strong team we've assembled," McCrory said in a statement. "These individuals are pragmatic problem solvers and leaders that will help me run the government in the most effective way possible while seeking long-term solutions for our state."

The former mayor of Charlotte takes the oath of office on Saturday, January 5th.
