VSU's Dean named AFCA coach of the year

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta State head coach David Dean has been named the Division II coach of the year by American Football Coaches Association.

Dean earned the award after leading Valdosta State to a third DII national championship and his second as the Blazers head coach.

It is second national coach of the year award for David Dean.

David Dean is 54-17 in six seasons at Valdosta State.
