Three people are under arrest in connection to a robbery where an East Texas woman was locked in the trunk of her.
Authorities located what they believe to be the vehicle involved in the Gregg County home invasion on Monday. Two men and a woman inside a van were arrested near the intersection of Loop 281 Highway 80 West in Longview. The woman was arrested for outstanding warrants not related to Monday's aggravated robbery.
A third man was later arrested in South Longview in connection to the robbery.
The Gregg County Sheriff's Department and DPS officers responded to a residence on Judson Road in Gregg County just after 10:30 on Monday morning following reports of a home invasion.
The suspects were seen taking items out of a house at 6873 Judson Road. A neighbor called 911 and, when police responded, they found an elderly woman tied up in the trunk of a car.
According to the Gregg County Sheriff's Office, the woman was home alone when her doorbell rang several times. When she got up to answer the door, she found suspects in her house, one with a weapon. The victim was held at gunpoint and then bound with tape and put in the trunk of her own car in the garage. The suspects then began removing items from the house and placing them in a van.
