WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) – According to Whiteville police, around 2 p.m. Wednesday, they spotted Allen Strickland driving on South Madison Street in a turn lane, blowing his horn while trying to pass another car.
Police pulled him over, and they say that Strickland told them he didn't have a license.
After checking his information, police saw that he had two previous convictions on driving without a license.
They arrested and charged him with driving with a revoked license.
He has since been released on bond.
Strickland was charged in 2009 with fraudulently setting fire to a dwelling house and attempting to obtain property by false pretense. He had been accused of setting fire to the home that former State Senator R.C. Soles bought him, but was found not guilty.
