Internet tobacco boutique shop TrueTobacco.com to begin carrying new Line of Gurkha Assassin cigars.
Miami, Fla. (PRWEB) February 12, 2013
TrueTobacco.com, one of the most popular online distributors of cigars and cigar accessories, revealed today that it will be making a new line of Gurkha Cigars available to their global customers – the famous “Assassins” line.
Gurkha is quickly becoming one of the preferred brands in the premium cigar world. Known for producing products with bold flavors, bold aromas and even bolder product names - like Warlord, Evil, Black Dragon and Beast - Gurkha products are widely-prized among cigar aficionados everywhere. The brand has its origins in British India, where it was named after a special type of Nepalese infantry whose members often brandished large, flat knifes called khukuri. For this reason the brand has taken on an Eastern theme in its design and packaging, and often names its products after aspects of warrior culture.
But according to Nick Gordon, TrueTobacco.com’s General Manager, there’s more backing Gurkha's products than just some clever marketing. “Gurkha produces absolutely amazing cigars,” says Gordon. “The company completely embodies the look and feel of the Far East in every way. The packaging for Gurkha cigars is among my personal favorites, and the cigars are every bit as bold and flavorful as the box implies."
The Assassins are Gurkha’s first attempt at a true full-bodied cigar. The tobacco blend is a Peruvian and Nicaraguan filler while the wrapper is of strong Brazilian leaf. Assassins are known for providing smokers an array of rich, spicy flavors with hints of dark chocolate and brandy. The cigars are hand-rolled and known to pack quite a lot of complexity.
“Assassins are absolutely delicious,” says Gordon. “And they'll never leave you wanting more, no matter which size you’re smoking. Among some of the boldest cigars you can get, whether you're an aficionado, a casual smoker or a newcomer.”
Even though TrueTobacco’s new investment is a big deal for the company – not to mention TrueTobacco customers – Gordon hopes to add more Gurkha products in the future.
“We’re currently carrying a fraction of what the company offers,” says Gordon. “But we listen to our customers. If they like these, we’ll be more than happy to bring them more.”
About the Product:
The Gurkha Cigar Company has its roots in India, where legend says a man named Kaizad Hansotia bought out a Portugese cigar maker's name and stock for only $149. Their Assassin line of cigars are a full-flavored blend of Peruvian and Nicaraguan tobacco and are available in five different sizes – Robusto, Toro, Torpedo, Churchill and Gurkha’s special Dagger shape.
