Senior VP will lend expertise and insight in Southeast Michigan and Executive Committee
TOLEDO, Ohio, March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hylant, one of the nation's largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, announced today that Mike Nixon, senior vice president, will lead Hylant's Southeast Michigan Employee Benefits operation and will also join the company's Employee Benefits Executive Committee. Lisa Hawker, executive vice president of Hylant, made the announcement.
In Mike's new role, he is responsible for further integrating the former AGIS Birmingham, Mich., office with the existing Hylant Southeast Michigan operation. He is based in Hylant's Detroit, Mich., office. As a member of the Employee Benefits Executive Committee, he will continue cultivating alignment and setting the strategic direction for all of Hylant's growing employee benefits operations along with the other members of the committee.

He is a published author and frequent public speaker who serves on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Statewide Advisory Board and the Guardian Life Insurance Company National Broker Council.
