BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC (WECT) – Spring Lake Park in Boiling Spring Lakes is closed to the public from Thursday, May 9 until Friday, May 24 for safety reasons while production crews film a movie.

Adobe Pictures, Inc. will be filming various scenes for the feature film, entitled Tammy.

Filming is scheduled for Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21.  Film-related activities could start as early as 6 a.m. to as late as 9 p.m. each day.

In order to achieve what is needed for filming, crews must prepare Spring Lake Park to look like their ‘set' in the movie.  This requires the crews to start prep work on Thursday, May 9.

Their work involves the construction of a temporary dock and other temporary structures.

Currently, there are no plans to do any work on the weekends.  However, they will have security on site day and night.

One the days of filming, production crews ask that the public does not bring any personal watercraft into Spring Lake.  They will have jet skis and support boats in the water for filming purposes and stunt work.

Police officers will be on hand to help facilitate the crowd and control traffic.
