CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WECT) - Hundreds of people filled Carolina Beach this weekend making it hard to find a free spot in the sand.
Lifeguards had to remind patrons to stay out of the way of their emergency route.
The crowds were also large at Freeman Park. Carolina Beach councilman, Steve Shuttleworth, says he hopes to have a discussion about the parks capacity and see if the rules need to change
He says the public is invited to meet at the North Pier at 3 p.m. on Monday to walk the beach. He says he wants to see the effect of the busy weekend and get the public's input to see if a change should be made.
