SOUTHEASTERN NC (WECT) – One North Carolina man is traveling around the state and taking pictures of his journey, and he doesn't drive your average ride – he lives in a former school bus that, with hard work and dedication, he's converted into a comfortable and artistic home.
The old Wake County bus, renamed the Magic Cool Bus, has everything one could need, including a table, bed, TV, sink, shower, closet and more.
Twenty-something Cameron Clement says he wanted to be able to travel and take pictures of everything he sees. He's been adding thousands of those photos to his Instagram account, @magiccoolbus, and says more and more people are checking them out.
He's driven to many places across the Tar Heel State, but says his favorite is probably the Topsail Beach area, where he's been relaxing for Memorial Day weekend.
The walls of the bus are covered with colorful stickers, license plates and photos. Recently, a wooden deck was even added to the roof of the bus, which Clement says makes the perfect spot for checking out summer concerts.
He and his girlfriend, Lauren, are heading to Pennsylvania this summer, and they hope to one day go across the U.S.
