WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Several Public Interest groups say that your pictures could start showing up on Facebook ads.

These groups have asked the Federal Trade Commission to block upcoming changes to Facebook's privacy policies. They claim it will be easier for Facebook to use your information and pictures without your consent.

Facebook says the language of its polices make it clear you are granting the site permission to use your information when you use its services. The site said the updated policy was in response to a recent $20 million class-action settlement over its privacy protections.

Facebook says its ad practices have not changed and that the new privacy policy only clarifies what it does with user information.
