WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating a bank robbery near UNCW that happened Friday around 11:30 a.m.

Officers were called to respond to the New Bridge Bank located at 704 S. College Road, near the UNCW Park and Ride, where the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are searching for the man pictured, and say he is about 5'9" and was wearing a white t-shirt over a tan shirt, red nylon pants and a red cap with an emblem.

According to police, the man ran away from the bank using the north side exit door.
