Beth Mugo was among the relatives and friends of victims who planted trees in Nairobi to remember those lost.
"As we plant these trees to commemorate my nephew and many others who died, and his fiancée, I feel much stronger and proud to be a Kenyan, that we are an island of peace," Mugo said. "We have given home to our neighbors, to many, many people, and the same people are coming now to attack us, we must resolve to resist terrorist attacks."
