WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Arthritis Foundation hosted a walk at Hugh MacRae Park to squash stereotypes associated with the disease.

The walk showed the many faces of arthritis. Walk organizers shared facts like two-thirds of arthritis sufferers are under the age of 65. They also said children as young as a year or even dogs are diagnosed with the disease.

"Kids get arthritis too. It affects everyone and anyone," said Kensleigh Ables who suffers from the disease. "Arthritis doesn't pick favorites."
