BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man from Wilmington pleaded guilty in Superior court Tuesday to felony possession with the intent to distribute, sell or deliver marijuana.

According to District Attorney Jon David, James Christopher Quindale Bunting was sentence as a habitual felon for selling marijuana in a Leland park. He will spend up to three and a half years in the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

The DA's Office and Brunswick County Sheriff's office targeted Bunting as a habitual offender. The investigation led to the arrest in connection to the sale of two grams of marijuana to an undercover agent near the basketball courts at the North West District Park in Leland.

According to the DA's Office, Bunting has several prior felony convictions, including possession with intent to distribute, sell or deliver cocaine.
