NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Fire crews from both New Hanover and Pender Counties responded to a structure fire near Castle Hayne Wednesday afternoon.

The fire was in the 6200 block of Holy Shelter Road. At this time we have no reports of injuries.

According to the owners of the home, they were trying to move the mobile home off of the property. They were attempting to cut holes in the metal frame to attach lines to tow the home from the property.

They say a small fire started, and it did not take long for the house to become fully engulfed in flames.
