WICHITA, KS (RNN) – The Tennessee Volunteers fell victim to undefeated Wichita State in Kansas 70-61 on Saturday.

The loss on the road ends a three-game winning streak for the Volunteers (6-3), but pushes Tennessee to 1-2 on the road so far in the 2013-14 season.

The two teams played one another closely throughout regulation, but in the final five minutes, the Shockers pulled away by as many as 12 points.

Tennessee outscored the undefeated Shockers (10-0) 26-25 at the end of the first half, but the country's No.12-ranked team.

Senior guard Jordan McRae scored 26 points in the loss, and has scored double-digit points in each of the Volunteers nine games this season.

Despite shooting 75 percent from the free throw line, the Volunteers only went six-of-16 from 3-point range and completed 43 percent of their field goal shots.

The Volunteers' next game is against the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
