LELAND, NC (WECT) - The Warrior Ride Organization hosted a fundraiser at Thunder Alley Bowling Center in Leland Saturday with part of the proceeds benefiting the organization.

The goal was to raise money for their four day bicycle ride that brings military members together to support each other and share stories after combat.

"To be honest, I could never share until we started this program," says Warrior Ride founder Bob Racine.

Now, Racine shares his wartime stories with other service members and teaches them how to cope with postwar trauma.

Racine says he was not treated honorably when he returned home from Vietnam. Since then, he made a promise to support fellow service members.

He is asking the community to get involved in the organization's fundraiser to help the organization to continue to ride.
