WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -  Wilmington Police are searching for a man accused of robbing the State Employee's Credit Union off Racine Drive in Wilmington Thursday morning.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the bank just before 10 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding money and stated he had a weapon. Bank employees told police they never saw a gun.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and headed north on Racine Dr. towards the NHC Government Complex.

The suspect is described as a male, in his mid 50's, 5'10, approximately 180 to 200 lbs. He was wearing a blue winter hat and a dark colored hoodie jacket.
