Funeral plans made for sisters killed in Chickahominy River crash

Posted: Updated:

Funeral plans have been made for the sisters killed in a crash in the Chickahominy River in Eastern Henrico County.

Fifteen-year-old Amanda Irby and 27-year-old Jessica Gallmeyer died last week. Police say the sisters were in the car when Andrew Walters tried to escape officers and crashed into the river.

A visitation for Amanda and Jessica will be held Friday at the Nelson Funeral Home on Laburnum Avenue. Their funeral will be Saturday at Hanover Church of the Nazarene in Mechanicsville.

Andrew Walters is charged with eluding police, and the Henrico's Commonwealth's Attorney is deciding if more charges will be filed.
