WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A high pressure system will bring a continuation of what's already been the longest stretch of sunny, warm weather we've seen since early last fall - enjoy! A storm system will bring a slight increase in rain chances and slight decrease in temperatures early next week.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY: Daytime temperatures will make another run to the mid 70s to mid 80s inland and mid 60s to mid 70s for most beaches! Nights: mild 50s and 60s. Also expect continued partly to mostly sunny skies, low rain chances, and light south or west breezes. Tree pollen levels: high.
WEEKEND: Saturday will feature variable clouds, a 20 - 30% chance of a shower or thundershower, and highs mainly in the upper 70s. Sunday will likely have variable clouds, a 10 - 20% chance of a shower, and highs - just a touch cooler - mainly in the lower 70s.
A PEEK INTO NEXT WEEK: A storm system will bring a 40 - 50% chance of a shower or thundershower Monday and lesser chances for Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures will reach highs in the 70s Monday but a cooler air mass could push the numbers back to the 60s by Wednesday.
