TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

Hollywood will be coming out with a feature film about the members of the Granite Mountain Hot Shot crew.

Scott Cooper, who directed the movie 'Crazy Heart' with Jeff Bridges, is set to direct the film. According to Variety, Lorenzo di Bonaventura (the "Transformers" franchise), Mike Menchel, and Dawn Ostroff and Jeremy Steckler of Conde Nast Entertainment are expected to produce the film, while Ken Nolan, screenwriter of "Black Hawk Down," is writing the script and Erik Howsam will exec produce for di Bonaventura Pictures.

Filmmakers are consulting with the families of the Granite Mountain crew members, including sole survivor Brendan McDonough.

It was nearly a year ago that 19 of the Hot Shots died when they were overrun and killed by the wildfire they were trying to fight.

The release date for the film has not been announced.
