HANCOCK COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle on I-75 in Hancock County for a headlight violation, but ended up arresting the driver and passenger on felony charges.

OSHP posted to their Facebook page on Tuesday that a rented Nissan Altima with Kentucky registration was pulled over in the southbound lanes of I-75 on June 27. Troopers observed criminal indicators and called a Hancock County canine to the scene.

A probable cause search found 310 Oxycodone pills, worth about $7,500. The driver of the vehicle, Ronnie Gohston, 53, of Anniston, Alabama and passenger Stephanie Slaughter, 33, of Elkhart, Indiana were arrested and taken to the Hancock County Jail.

Both have been charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony.
